All right, number five is becoming a Virtual Assistant. Now, this is one of the best ways to get started working from home because the pay is pretty good, and anyone can do this.
My First Job as a Virtual Assistant
My first work from home job without experience was becoming a Virtual Assistant, and I’m going to share with you the trick that I did to actually get my first job. But first, the way that I got my first job was through a site called Upwork. Now, Upwork is a website that connects business owners with individuals who can help them in some aspect of their business.

Now, a lot of things you’re going to see is like graphic design, web design, copywriting, all those type of freelance jobs, but they also have Virtual Assistance, and I was very strategic when I first applied for my first job because I was looking every single day trying to figure out what are the jobs that I can do because I was still working a 9-5, I couldn’t do a full-time job, I was trying to just get my feet wet to see could I do this, and I found one that was perfect for me.

It was $25 an hour, only 5 to 10 hours a week, so this was perfect, so I applied for it immediately. So the girl interviewed me just because I did it so fast. Now keep in mind I didn’t have any references or reviews, but what I did in my interview with her, I told her that I will offer my services to her for one week for free just so she could see how I was before she had to take a risk on hiring someone that didn’t do the job well.
How I Got the Job Without Experience
So she took a risk and said okay for one week we’ll do it for free, and I exceeded her expectations. So that’s a strategy that I recommend doing if you don’t have any references or reviews, and my advice is if they ask for you to do something that you don’t know how to do, don’t say I don’t know, be resourceful. That’s what I did.
Being Resourceful to Succeed
I went to YouTube and I went to Google for everything that I didn’t know. There are too many resources out there to give you the whatever you’re looking for, you can get it, you just got to be resourceful. So my tips when you are looking for a job on Upwork is when you find a job you qualify for, apply for it immediately, and you want to do it when that’s only like five 10 proposals that have already been sent because the less competition, the better.

You also want to make sure that they have a blue verified payment check before applying to these jobs because some of them can be scammed and you don’t want any of be involved in that. So that’s my advice for job number five.
