In this article, I’m going to be sharing some no phones, no customer service, data entry-based roles. One of these is also one that requires no interview, and the lowest pay for these positions is $18 per hour. So, if you’re super entry level, that might be where you sit depending on which one you apply to. But these are not your $14 per hour or less data entry roles.

Welcome back to Homebase Haven, your safe haven for real work-from-home jobs. The first company we’re going to look at is Cherry Baker, if I’m saying this correctly, and they’re an accounting firm, and they offer audit and tax solutions as well for businesses. And they’re looking for a seasonal document reviewer. This is fully remote in the US. They do list specific locations as well, but if you’re in the US, you can work remotely.

Cherry Baker Seasonal Document Reviewer Role Details

And it says, “Terry Baker is gearing up for the busy tax season. We’re seeking multiple temporary remote tax doc reviewers to support our validation center efforts from mid January to mid April 2026. So you can start next week, this month, um mid January. availability 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. And some weekend spinning work may be required during peak times, especially close to tax deadlines.

Job Responsibilities at Cherry Baker

So, in this role, you are going to be occupying your keen attention to detail to provide quality control by analyzing information that has been scanned from our tax automation software into tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness. You’re going to be working as part of a collective team in a fast moving environment to turn around time sensitive output.

Required Skills and Qualifications for Cherry Baker Role

So what you have to bring to the role is high attention to detail which guarantees accuracy when performing repetitive tasks, strong technology skills to include Excel. Previous experience with the Go File Room is a plus, but that’s not required. And they said very clearly that they’re happy to train you, which is nice to see spelled out clearly. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information, and of course, you’re handling people’s, you know, private tax documents. So, you have to be able to maintain that sense of privacy.

Additional Requirements and Pay for Cherry Baker Position

Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and some availability to work weekends close to April 15th, the tax deadline. So, the pay range for this is $18 to $21 per hour. That is not bad, you guys, for a remote role that you could get full-time hours for. You don’t have to be on the phone. You don’t have to provide customer service. So, you’re literally just checking the accuracy of tax documents and you know you’ve got a solid role between now and the end of tax season which of course does not end until April 15th.

ABC Legal E-Filing Lead Position

So, that is the first position. Let’s look at the next one. This is with ABC Legal. They’re an online platform that allows businesses, particularly law firms, to have deliverables for their tax documents. So, they allow them to send documents that they need people to sign or review, um electronically. And they’re looking for an e-filing lead at ABC Legal.

Role Description for ABC Legal E-Filing Lead

And the lead role at ABC Legal serves as the entry-level management position guiding individuals, small teams or projects involving direct reports. Leads are responsible for ensure their team members understand and meet their own objectives. This role requires the ability to manage day-to-day operations, manage employee time cards and scheduling, provide feedback, train employees,handle and deliver employee reviews, and deliver as a point of contact between staff and higher management.

Training and Communication Responsibilities at ABC Legal

Now, you’re going to train and provide guidance to new hires and team members on the e-filing procedures, resolve issues with filings. So, it can involve calling and emailing court. So forgive me. This one does possibly involve some calling, but primarily there’s going to be a lot of emailing and of course the title itself is e-filing. So majority of the work will be electronic.

Daily Tasks and Team Management at ABC Legal

E-filing portals, account managers, other individuals within the company. Track daily team metrics in a spreadsheet and maintain spreadsheet functionality, create and maintain documents describing standard e-filing procedures and assist e-filing managers with assigning work, setting daily team goals, calculating KPIs, and lead daily team huddles.

Qualifications and Skills Needed for ABC Legal Role

The qualification is six months relevant experience is a plus in e-filing, but they know that’s a plus because they know most people do not have that experience. You only need a high school diploma or GED. And again, e-filing experience is preferred with multiple states, but again, that’s not a requirement. Detail oriented and a quick learner experience and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills and Compensation at ABC Legal

Basic coding and computer programming skills, another plus, so not requirement. And typing speed of at least 70 words per minute. Just Google typing test um.com or typing test electronically and you can just see how fast your typing speed is if you’re unsure. And you could practice as well, so if you needed to get up to speed and they offer their benefits package here, which is pretty robust considering this is an online remote position.

And the starting pay is 43,000 all the way up to 53,000 per year. Not bad for a non-C customer service-based role. And it is with ABC Legal. This is a platform that researchers can use when they’re conducting clinical trials to kind of see or streamline rather their processes and their paperwork. And they’re currently looking for a data quality analyst.

Let’s see if I can enlarge this is this font is pretty small. So again, this is fully remote. Clinical Inc. is a global life science company that brings data, technology, and patient science together to unlock clinical discovery. They’re seeking a data quality analyst to join their data quality team based remotely across the US.

Job Duties for Clinical Inc Data Quality Analyst

This individual will contribute to verifying and validating data reports and exports for clinical trial software. They go more into detail about what you’ll be doing. So, you’re going to verify customer data information and requests. Perform accurate data entry with a focus on generating both positive and negative test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of system validation validation document testing in accordance with applicable process.

Nature of the Data Entry Work at Clinical Inc

See how this is particularly data heavy and just entering information, transferring information, verifying information. That’s pretty much the core of it. The qualifications, they want you to have an associates degree or equivalent experience, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, basic SQL knowledge, experience with Salesforce, um software as a service, and Python is a plus, but it’s not required.

Required Skills and Pay Range for Clinical Inc Role

You must be detail oriented and analytical and strong written and verbal communication skills. Transferable skills that we often discuss and effective prioritization and time management as well. And the pay for this role was not clearly listed on this page, but according to Glass Storm, it ranges from anywhere from 50K to over 80K per year for roles like this at this company.

Pay Expectation and Data Annotation Platform Introduction

So, while that is not very clear and that is a wide window, it does give you some sort of idea of what you could possibly expect. And next we are going to look at data annotation. This is a platform that does not require you to do an interview. How it works is they want people to come on to perform certain tasks.

Some of them might be, you know, with training AI or verifying information, um verifying the quality of certain search results, various things of that nature. And how it works is you create an account first and you can just sign up with your email. There’s no cost to sign up. They are currently accept folks from the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia.

Availability for Other Countries and Assessment Details

Says if you’re outside of these countries, you’re still welcome to make an account and they’ll email you when they’re ready for you. And then next, you take the starter assessment. So in lieu of an interview, they have an assist assessment for you to take where they essentially see if you can just choose maybe the better of two options or respond to certain tasks and understand the goal of the task based on the guidelines that they give you.

There are different tasks that’ll give you the guidelines of what the work that they want you to perform. If you can pass that assessment, then you are qualified to work on the platform. So then you just start earning. You go onto your dashboard and you’ll see the roles and tasks that are available and you could start as early as literally today.

You can set up your account and get started on the platform. And when you scroll down, they have some testimonials that you could look through. They have their FAQs and the pay range they say starts from 40 or excuse me, I wish it was 40, but from $20 an hour. Millions have been paid out.

This is an independent contract position for those of you interested in contract roles and they have over 100,000 members and they are highly rated on Indeed as well and they’ve been featured on these major platforms. So definitely work worth checking out data annotation.
