Remote Digital Health Jobs Hiring Now – No Healthcare Degree

remote digital health jobs

In this article, I’m going to be sharing some digital health or health tech companies that are hiring for roles that don’t require you to have a healthcare background. I believe only one of them requires it, but the other ones do not. And on the high end, half of these positions pay between 65K to 95K per year according to the job description. So, let’s get into this article. Welcome back to Homebase Haven, your safe haven for real work from home jobs. Thank you for joining me as always.

Email List and Job Scan Recommendation

To those of you that are new, I like to get you up to speed. Make sure you sign up for my email list. I’ll have this linked for you in the description box below. My email subscribers are always the first ones to get these leads sent directly to them in their inbox before I share them to the masses on YouTube. So, make sure you check that out. And also, be sure to utilize Job Scan when you’re submitting these, uh, job applications. It’ll help you increase your chances of getting past those ATS systems that tend to block us out before we get a real opportunity to have a recruiter see how qualified we are for these roles.

Job Scan Platform Features and Success Story

They have a great platform. They can help you optimize your LinkedIn, do your cover letter and resume, and they match you up against the job description that you put in and let you know, you know, how close you are to being a great match. You want to be over 75%, but of course, the closer to 100, the better. I’ll link that in the description box below as well. If you didn’t see, recently I had a subscriber leave me a comment on a article that she applied to a role that was in the article and she utilized JobKit and she landed an interview within less than a week. So, just letting you know that this is something that really works. Let’s get into today’s article.

Included Health Overview and Role Description

The first company we’re going to be looking at is Included Health. Says Included Health is designed to treat you better. They offer complete care directly from their app. And let’s look at what they’re hiring for. It’s a member care advocate. So, at Included Health, our mission is to raise the standard of health care for everyone. As a member care advocate, you will embody this mission and act as a trusted guide to our members. This is a small position and requires a protected, distraction free home office. So, they are letting you know upfront what kind of work environment they want you to have.

Included Health Blames

I will just highlight a couple of the responsibilities. You will answer a high volume of inbound calls from members, providers, and vendors, ensuring every relationship is respectful, thoughtful, and solution oriented. You will own the member’s journey. So, these are the patients that you’ll be communicating with, including researching and resolving complex cases, answering health plan related questions, billing and claims inquiries, prior authorizations, and benefits coverage questions.

Included Health Training and Qualifications

So, a breath of information there that the clients or the members/patients that will have, that’s what you’ll be answering for them. Remember, Included Health is going to train you with what you need to know. You’ll clearly explain all available benefits and help members understand what their actual benefits are covering for them. And it goes on from there. What they want you to have to apply is a bachelor’s degree with two years of healthcare experience or five years of relevant experience in a healthcare field. So, this is the role that does require you have a healthcare background. The other ones do not.

Included Health Experience and Contract Details

And experience using, essentially, the VIP phone systems and comfortable handling a high volume of calls the entire day and robust knowledge of Google apps, Apple products, and customer relationship management software. So, CRM software with proven, avail, excuse me, ability adapting to proprietary tools. Now, it says the US new hire rate for this contract roles. This is a contract position which they kind of hid in there. Well, I don’t know if they hit it per se, but to me, it should be kind of at the top as well. But it’s $21 per hour. This is a contract role. I know several of you are interested in that.

Contract Work and Permanent Transition

Says you can become eligible to transition to a permanent position after 5 months of contract work. So, this is a great way. While it’s not the highest pay, if you want to work in digital health, you have a health care background, you’re trying to transition out of, you know, traditional hospital or traditional in office role, you can work this role for 5 months and move to a permanent position. Or if you don’t like the company, at least take that five months of experience, add it to your resume, and apply to another digital health company with higher pay. All right?

Included Health Pay and Benefits Notes

And then they go over their benefits package here. Now, this is where it gets conflicting here. They put $21 per hour and down here they put 24 to 10 per hour reflecting expanded responsibilities and our commitment to a living wage. So, what I would do if I applied to this role and was contacted by a recruiter, first of all, take a screenshot of this directly on their page so you have something to reference when you’re negotiating your pay and let this be your minimum, not the $21 per hour because they put this here notating living wage and their commitment to it.

Living Wage Commitment and Next Company Intro

And of course, this should even be higher truly for a proper living wage. But just a little tidbit there for this particular role. Let’s look at the next one. This is with a company called Amwell. They are also in the digital health space. Says, “At Amwell, we’re transforming healthcare for all. Powered by technology and inspired by people. Here, your ideas don’t just matter. They drive real change, improving lives on a global scale.” They’re looking for a technical support analyst. This is a US-based remote, says at Amwell.

Amwell Company Mission and Role

And for people to have the care that just better tends to what their needs are.

Technology Enabled Care Platform and Role Details

Says they do this through their technology enabled care platform that is designed to help our clients achieve their digital care ambitions today and in the future. Now in this role, they’re seeking a motivated and energetic technical support analyst to join the customer support team. So, you don’t have to have a super technical background for this role which I love because you can land a technical role which can be your bridge to high-paying roles which includes this one and we’ll get to that in a minute.

Technical Support Analyst Blames

So, the heart responsibilities you are going to monitor, prioritize and parallel clients overall status of technical support tickets and issues. Ensure the tickets are being worked appropriately and escalate internally to ensure contractual SLAs or service level agreements and expectations are being met. You’re going to support critical incident management efforts by providing case troubleshooting insights and or customer information is needed.

Issue Tracking and Support Ticket Management

Identify any trends, themes, and issues during post-launch stabilization until customers are stable per established metrics. So, it’s a lot of data. It’s a lot of, you know, supporting these, excuse me, answering these support tickets based on issues that customers may be experiencing with the platform, issues and, um, that come up and tracking that, finding solutions to those things, everything kind of around that core purpose.

Qualifications for the Amwell Role

And the qualifications for this role, a minimum of two to four years of experience working in a services support or operations organization, project management and or consulting organization responsible for the oversight and or delivery and support of. So essentially, if you’ve worked any type of support, customer service or operations related role for at least two to four years, you qualify with that alone. It does not have to be in healthcare or any other specific area or software or tech or anything like that.

Experience and Transferable Skills Needed

It really leaves it wide open to a variety of experience and background. So, if you could just show that you have that plus these core transferable skills that we always talk about, the communication, time management, organization, things of that nature, being able to work on a team and independently, you can land this position. And the best part for this is the pay, which is 72,000 to 80,000 per year.

Pay Range and Entry Into Tech

Think about that. A technical role where it’s not you don’t have to have a tech degree or super technical background. As long as you have the work experience in the transferable skills that can relate to a support role, you can land a position working from home in the 72 to 80,000 per year range. And this could be an entry into tech for you. And then you could build up from there.

Benefits Package at Amwell

Here’s their benefits package. Pretty robust and add some nice benefits like mental health care support. Um, paid parental leave, both maternity and paternity. So, flexible time off. Great opportunity here.

Degree Requirements for Amwell Role

Now, it does say a BA or bachelor’s degree is required. So, while I mentioned it doesn’t have to be tech-related, they do want you to have a degree or or or equivalent four or more years of experience. So, what that means is you could have a degree and maybe not the two to four years of experience in this area or you could just truly just have a degree and this experience that’s kind of open to variety of backgrounds.

Encouragement to Highlight Experience

Okay? So, make sure you speak up to your experience, show how it’s applicable to the support role and you can land yourself a nice work from home job in tech. And also, I wanted to talk about this latest digital product that I created for you guys. It’s 60 plus remote job boards that you’re not using, but should be. And according to Glassdoor, the pay for this ranges from 49,000 up to 74,000 per year according again to what was reported by 37 salaries submitted on Glassdoor. So, that’s just a super wide range. Not very clear. They didn’t clearly state the pay in the job description, but I just wanted to give you somewhat of a ballpark idea, even though that’s very, again, very wide range, but I’m just showing you what I was able to actually find online.
