In this article, I have several new opportunities to share with you. Of course, they are all fully remote roles. They are in fintech and digital health. And the fintech one pays very well in the digital health space. I have four roles I’ll be sharing with you. And they are all contract positions.These roles are designed to give flexibility and allow you to work from anywhere. Many people are seeking remote positions these days, and this article provides a great way to discover multiple options in one place.

Contract Roles Overview and Pay Range

I know several people are interested in contract roles lately, so I have several of those to share. There’s a part-time opportunity. The rest are full-time. And the pay ranges from $18 per hour on the very low end and then all the way up to $30 per hour. So, great range of opportunities. I think you guys are going to appreciate all of these leads. Let’s go ahead and jump into it.The variety of hours, responsibilities, and pay makes these roles appealing to both beginners and experienced professionals.

Introduction to Mercury

Welcome back to Homebase Haven, your safe haven for real work-from-home jobs. The first company we’re going to look at is Mercury, and they are a fintech platform, and they help you with online banking, investments, savings, things of that nature, all on their software. It says Mercury is building a complete finance stack for startups.

Incident Responder Role at Mercury

They’re looking for a consumer support incident responder, and it can be remote anywhere within the US. They are more based in San Francisco, New York, and Portland, but you can be based anywhere within the US. And as an incident responder at Mercury, you will sit at the center of our most demanding moments, leading with smoothnes, clarity, and care when things break.

Blames of an Incident Responder

So, what you will be doing in this role, let us just saw at the general survey. You’re going to monitor and assess alerts, support channels, and triage reports to identify emerging issues that customers or clients may be having with their platform. You’re going to partner with the customer support on-call team and engineering teams to confirm incidents and determine severity.

Leadership and Customer Advocacy

You’re going to be a customer support leader acting as the customer support DRI, which is a directly responsible individual during high-severity incidents. So, issues may be escalated up to you in this role. Communication and customer supporting are key in this position. Incident observing to understand why things went wrong and how to improve moving forward.

Qualifications and Experience Necessity

What they’re looking for you to have is four years in a customer support or comparable customer-facing role is required. So, if you’ve worked any client support, customer support, maybe you’ve worked at a retail company, insurance, or in banking, it doesn’t have to be specific to fintech or finance at all.

CRM and Transferable Skills

But if it’s some kind of role where you helped customers in any capacity for at least four years, even if it’s a combination of different roles, you qualify. Experience with CRM systems, so any tool or software program that you use in those roles to document interactions and discussions with customers or clients, whatever that tool may be, even if it’s not Salesforce or Zendesk, which are the more popular ones, whatever it was, it qualifies you for covering this requirement here.

Key Role-Specific Skills

And then other transferable skills that you need, those are more the technical role-specific experience that you need. Now, as far as the transferable skills that we get from pretty much almost every role that we would work, you must remain calm under pressure. Be passionate about customer experience. So, you lead with empathy when interacting with customers, and you always champion their experience in times of crisis.

Working Across Teams and Communication Skills

You can work across functional as a cross-functional team member. You’re data-informed and operationally minded. You’re solutions-oriented. You’re bold and winsome. So, you are very confidently advocate for customers and teammates, balancing assertiveness with respect and sensitiveness

Salary and Remote Benefits

You have phenomenal written and verbal communication, and you are a product expert, and of course, Mercury will have to train you on their products and systems. So, don’t stress about that part. Now, the best part about this role, not only is it remote anywhere in the US, but also the salary range goes from $87,700 per year all the way up to $109,600 per year USD.

Location-Based Pay Differences

So, depending on where you live, if you live in the major cities on the far coast, so New York City, LA, Seattle, San Francisco Bay Area, the typical areas where the cost of living is higher, this is the salary range, $97,000 to $109,000 per year. And then anywhere outside of that, still the range is $87,000 to $98,000 per year. Not bad at all for a customer support-based role that’s fully remote. You cannot beat that. Doesn’t require a degree. Doesn’t require industry experience. This is an awesome opportunity.

Patient Enrollment Specialist Role

The first one is a patient enrollment specialist, again, contractor, and you have to be based in the US. This is a complete time role.Hours are Monday to as Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Again, fully remote. The team is a clinical operations team. The pay is $20 to $22 per hour plus the potential for an additional $200 per week bonus.

Role Responsibilities and Bonus

So, it’s pretty rare to see a weekly bonus. You might see a monthly bonus, but a weekly bonus is pretty nice and can help compensate for the lower wages. So, in this role as a patient enrollment specialist in our energetic team, you will play a vital role in enrolling patients in our health care service and guarantee patient happiness.

Daily Blames of Patient Enrollment Specialist

The primary responsibility for this role is engaging potential patients over the phone, providing information about our healthcare service, addressing their questions, and ultimately signing them up for the program. And then they go more in detail about what you’ll be doing in the role if you just want to get a clearer picture.

CRM Use and Achieving Targets

You’re going to be educating the patients on the platform, assisting them with navigating the app, initiating outbound calls to potential patients and responding to inbound calls, recording and maintaining accurate information for the call notes. Essentially, just utilizing a CRM tool to document what went on in your conversation with clients, achieving your target each week, which will help you get that $200 per week bonus, things of that nature.

Qualifications for Patient Enrollment Specialist

The qualifications for this role are the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup, experience working in a quota-driven environment, passionate about making healthcare more effective and efficient, experience engaging with customers, experience with outbound calls, and high EQ and IQ, so emotional intelligence and, of course, just general IQ when navigating different types of situations, and experience leveraging technology in a professional setting.

Transferable Skills and Industry Requirements

So, as you can see, none of this is industry-specific other than you just being passionate about healthcare being more effective and efficient, which I would think is everyone since we all need healthcare for ourselves. I hope we would all be advocates for that. And everything else is just a transferable skill that you could get from working in any industry, in any role, just from being an employee or a business owner or something of that sort.
