If building a website was the key to success, everyone on Squarespace would be rich. The harsh truth is that pretty websites don’t sell products. Most beginners pour months into design then wonder why sales never come. It’s not your fault though. This is the myth. We’ve all been sold. People think professional equals profitable, but they’re really not the same at all. I’ve seen countless entrepreneurs with $5,000 websites and $0 income. A pretty design doesn’t replace a clear sales process.

Every hour you spend tweaking a logo

Every hour you spend tweaking a logo is an hour. You could be making money. You need a path to profit, not a digital business card. Websites are static and they’re designed to look good. They’re not designed to sell you anything. They honestly offer too many options. Home about blog contact. When you give people a clear path, it shows them exactly where to go, what to click on, what to purchase, versus wondering where to go on this website? I don’t know how many websites I’ve gone to in the past year where I clicked on this website because I saw something that this person was selling and I wanted that thing to get to their website, which they sent me to, and I could not find this product anywhere. I had to click through every single button. I had to go through all the things. There was no clear path. And guess what?

Think website like a museum

A website is built to inform and teach. Yet a funnel is built to sell and convert. It’s essentially ego versus income. One makes you feel really good and one gets you a real result. You do not need to inform your visitors about anything other than what they want. You need to lead them to what they want. Like I said before, I don’t want to have to hunt for your offer. And guess what? Visitors don’t want to hunt for your offer either. They just want a solution and they want it. Now people’s attention spans have dwindled down to nothing nowadays, so you really need to be able to give them a clear path to what they want as quickly as possible. So think of it this way. The more decisions they have to make, the less sales you are going to get. Given they have less decisions to make so it’s easier for them to make a purchase.

A funnel removes distraction and then guides them

Now on the flip side, a funnel removes distraction and then guides them with direction towards action. Every page has one singular goal, which is to move them to the next step. And this is why I love funnels. And this is why we preach and utilize funnels so heavily. Because funnels work with psychology, I think urgency, simplicity and clarity. You need those three things for a sale. And this is the other thing. While websites talk about your funnels, instead focus on your customer. So when somebody shows up to your website and it’s talking all about you, that’s fine and dandy. When they’re diverted to a funnel and it’s talking directly at them, it’s making them feel seen, heard and understood. And with a funnel, you can test, tweak and optimize every single part of it for results. And it shows you the data. It shows you exactly where people fall off and why they’re falling off. You can run ads to a funnel and expect results instead of crickets. Think of it this way: funnels are the GPS for your customer. They’re clear step by step and outcome driven. You can start earning before you ever need a website. Funnel. Save time and make money. That is the winning combination right there.

So most people here funnel and think of something techy and super complicated, but it’s actually super simple. So let me break this down. A funnel is not a tool. It’s a strategy that you use. You literally use funnels every day. You just don’t know it yet. If you’ve ever signed up for a free trial for anything, you’ve been in a funnel. They’re just a structured experience that leads you to say yes. All right, let’s use Amazon as an example. You go to the homepage, you find a product, you add it to your cart and you check out that it’s a funnel, or let’s take it to a coffee shop. You look at the menu, you order a product, they upsell you. You buy funnels, guide your behavior and reduce indecision. People don’t want the buying process to be difficult because a confused mind never buys. That’s guaranteed and funnels eliminate confusion. It’s a win for your customer and your bank account.

So let’s relate it to making money online. The golden funnel looks like this. You create a YouTube article that offers a freebie that sends them to an email list with automated emails, that leads them to a checkout page and a sale. Now, why does this work? Because if you offer value in a article, they’re learning something. And then if you offer a freebie, you’re offering to help them with something. You’re hoping to solve a problem for them for free. Then once they sign up for that freebie, they’re on your email list. And then the emails that you send, the sequence that you send nurtures them. Once they get to that checkout page and they’ve decided they’re going to buy, the checkout page is focused, it’s fast and it’s streamlined. They don’t have to think about it. This flow seriously builds million dollar businesses with just a single product. A complete funnel is truly like a well-oiled machine, one that you have to build once and then let it run by itself.

Okay, so yeah, I might have to only build it once, but it seems I like it a lot. It seems a little intimidating. Do not let it intimidate you, because there is a website system that makes all of this super easy, streamlined, and you can host all of it together in one spot because funnels are not scary. All right, so let’s go ahead and break this down with all clarity. No fluff. Each step has one job. Most people fail because they skip over one. Or they simply overcomplicate it. Because when you know what’s next, everything becomes so much easier. So your YouTube, you’re going to create long form content with value and your content builds trust. You’re then going to offer that freebie and your freebie collects emails. And then once you send those email sequences, then that is what builds desire in your customer. Your checkout page is where they land, and it’s where things convert. And you’re also kind of respecting your client’s time. A good funnel makes sure that they’re not confused. They’re not wasting energy looking at things they don’t need to be looking at.

When you’re creating your content

When you’re creating your content, your long form content, you want to make sure that it’s search based and trust building. Now what does this mean? You want to make sure that you are utilizing keyword and SEO optimized titles and descriptions on YouTube so that your content can be ranked, and it shows up when people search for that topic and then trust building, you want to make sure that you’re providing value and tips to the person that needs it. You’re speaking directly to your target audience, and you’re also giving a little bit of personality in there. You’re also maybe giving a little bit of your experience so you can build vulnerability and that like know and trust factor.

The emails that you send

The emails that you send should be super nurturing and a value path. Think of your emails almost like you’re nurturing a child, right? You really want your audience to understand you and be able to like, know and trust you because you’re eventually going to pitch them, right? We all know that at the end of this email sequence, you’re going to provide them with a product and say, here, I think you would benefit from this. Pay me for it. But nobody’s going to buy from you unless they feel nurtured. They like they know and they trust you, and you’re going to do that by providing value. Make sure that these emails are not just one off sentences or a couple little random things and tips. No no no. Make sure that you’re providing something that they can walk away with. You’re not giving everything away. These emails aren’t meant to copy and paste what’s in your freebie and throw it in the email. Then they’re not going to look at the free me. Then they’re going to be like, oh, this is all the same content. No no no. Pull specific things, maybe from that freebie that you didn’t dive into and provide a little bit more value.

If you don’t have traffic

If you don’t have traffic, don’t have leads, and then you don’t have sales. It’s like opening a physical, in-person store with no foot traffic. Nobody sees it. Nobody’s coming in. So you don’t need to go viral here. You just need to be consistent. And that is where YouTube shines. Think of YouTube, separate from all other social media. YouTube equals evergreen content. It stays and shows up on people’s feeds forever for years to come. You can post a article today and it will be shown to somebody in three years. Short form social media does not do that. So think Instagram and TikTok. They show you something once you scroll past it. You’re probably not going to see it again unless you physically go searching for it.

Focus on helping them solve a problem

And maybe most importantly, here with your content, focus on helping them solve a problem, not hyping up your freebie that helps them solve a problem. Do you see the difference? Focus on them and provide value for them and not you and how you are doing that for them. Truly, YouTube is a huge digital asset. Every article you make is planting a seed. Don’t spread yourself thin across all of the platforms, across all social media. Plant deep roots in one and perfect it. This is how your content is going to work for you while you sleep. If you don’t automate

If you don’t automate, you’ve built yourself another job. The goal is freedom here and not burnout. Automation will multiply your time and it helps your business run even when you’re offline. This is where you’re going to include those. This is providing value to them and you’re also asking them to engage back with you.

Days six and on

Days six and on is where you’re going to provide testimonials, case studies and promote your offers. Right. So if you have anybody that has given you any good feedback on your products, anybody that has said they enjoy it, this is where you’re going to add it in, because it gives them even more of a reason to trust you. They see somebody else who has what you’re about to offer them, and that person is saying, yeah, I love this. It worked for me. It helped me. And these emails over time.

Replace hustle with systems

Replace hustle with systems. This is where you want to work on your business. You don’t want to work in your business. Automation equals time, income, and peace. It’s how you build a freedom business without grinding. 24 over seven.

You don’t need a website

I’m gonna wrap this up. You don’t need a website. You don’t need to be techie. You don’t even need a big following. You need one clear product, one simple funnel, and the drive to continue to stay consistent. This is how we scale to $46,000 per month. You just need to be clear and actually take the action.
