I make all over USD 31,756 online every single month, & less than 0.5% of my sales actually come from my website. Crazy, right? That’s because websites don’t actually sell your products. Funnels do. And in this article, I’m going to show you the exact system that I use to make consistent sales every month without needing a website, and how you can set this up for free too. So let’s dive in.
Why Websites Don’t Sell Products
So why don’t websites sell products? Because it sure seems like there’s a lot of information online that just says, you know, buy this software, set up a website, and sales will come. You know, that’s definitely what they want you to believe. And if you look at that messaging, whether it’s a blog post or an ad or a social media post, typically nine times out of ten, that content is either coming from a business that sells websites or website templates or website services, or it’s coming from a creator who has an affiliate link for some kind of website, software, template, etc.
How People Actually Find Websites
But think about it: If you build a website and put it up on the internet, how are people going to get to that website? There is no magic traffic, magic audience fairy that just drives all these people and views and traffic to your website. The second you create a website, that is not how it works. Think of any website you’ve gone to recently. You probably went there because you clicked on an ad, or you clicked on a social media post, or you clicked on something that brought you there.
Websites Don’t Guide Buyers
A website in and of itself does not drive traffic, and it does not drive sales. Not to mention, the way that websites are traditionally set up are just not set up to guide people to sales. Think about it. There’s a home page, an about page, a contact page, maybe some links to your social media profiles. It is just a bouquet of static pages, & it is not actually conduct someone once they land on your website to actually buy from you.
Common Blunder New Business Owners Make’s
I see this occur a lot with new business owner’s where they get really thrill about their new business, which I entirely love. But then for some reason in their head, they think the first, most important things they should do are create a logo, branding, and a website. And if you go ahead and you create all those things, how many sales do you think it’s going to bring you? I’m going to go with probably zero because none of those things are traffic.
Ego Metrics vs Real Business Focus
None of those things are actually building an audience. None of those things are actually effective systems, tools, and strategies to guide someone who finds you online to actually purchasing from you. These are all what I like to call ego metrics, where people, they feel good. If they create a logo, they feel good. If they create a website, they feel good. If they make a real that gets a bunch of likes and views.
Focus on Sales, Not Likes
But I do not care about glance cool online. I do not care about likes & views. I care about manufacture sales because this is a business,This is not a nonprofit. This is not a hobby. If you’ve come to this channel for those reasons, wrong channel. This is for people who are serious about building a business and wanting to make sales. Are you with me?
A Workshop to Help You Automate Sales
Okay, now let’s talk about how to actually make sales online. And really quickly, before we dive into that, I have a brand new on-demand workshop that’s going to take you from where you are now to making automated sales with your very own digital product and growing your own audience on YouTube. If you’re interested in that, you can snag your totally free seat. It’s the first link in the description below this article.
Funnels Are the Real Sales Drivers
so we know websites don’t sell. And sure, you can make a sale here or there. I get maybe 2 to 5 sales a month from my website, which is nothing. We are getting hundreds and hundreds of sales every single month, & those sales are not coming from our website. They are coming from our funnel. So let me explain.
Difference Between Websites and Funnels
A funnel is a series of web pages, not websites. Okay. There is a difference between a website and a web page. Okay. You can argue it out in the comments if you want to, but a funnel is a series of web pages that are going to guide someone from finding you online, or getting into your funnel all the way through to the purchase. A funnel can also be another series of steps or guided path that is not only web pages.
How My Funnel Works
Okay, so for example, my funnel starts with people finding me on YouTube. Then I offer freebies, free workshops, different free things. People opt in, put their name in email, they receive said freebie, and then they also get on my email list. And then once they’re on my email list, they’re going to start getting automated emails from me that will give them more helpful free educational advice and then also say, hey, by the way, if you want to check out my membership, you can check it out here, which sends them to my checkout page.
The Funnel Purchase Rate and Strategy
And then 5% of those who land on that page will purchase. That in itself is also a funnel. A funnel really is a strategy where you’re guiding someone from discovering you online to going all the way to the sale. And one of the components that is really important with funnels and making sales online in general is traffic.
Why Websites Are Dead Without Traffic
And that is one of the reasons that websites are dead. Okay. Because people really sell you this lie that, oh, you just design this pretty website, you put it online and people envision like, oh, I just need to put up a website. I’ll get all this traffic and sales. It’s like. You actually have to generate traffic and sales to go to the page that you want them to go to.
The Importance of Guiding Visitors
And even if you add traffic and sales to a website, then what are they going to do when they land on your website? They don’t know what to do. So it’s so much better to have a funnel, whether it’s the overall funnel of your business going from YouTube to sale, or it’s a strategic series of pages like an auto webinar funnel where people opt in to your webinar, they watch your webinar, and then they’re guided to the checkout page to buy.
Funnels as Active Sales Strategies
So there are a lot of different examples of funnels. But all in all, think of a funnel like guiding someone from finding you online to making the sale. You are not just sitting back, throwing up a website, crossing your fingers and hoping for the sale. You have an actual active strategy to bring people from discovering you to actually buying from you.
Real Data from My Students About Websites
And by the way, if you’re still about to die on the hill that websites just magically bring sales, I want to share something with you. So I do a Q&A call with my students every single week, and there was about 50 some students on this call, and I asked them to raise their hands if they have ever been to my website. So not just bought through my website, but ever been to my website. Not one person raised their hand.
Where My Sales Actually Come From
So not only do people not really go to websites anymore, but none of the people who are on that call and in my program actually heard about my program through my website, bought through my website, none of that. And we track all of our data. And I can see that the majority of our sales, like by far, like 98%, come from people discovering me on YouTube, downloading a freebie, getting on my email list, getting to my checkout page, and purchasing.
The Need for Traffic and Audience
Okay, now that you know you don’t need a website to make sales and you do need a funnel to make sales, let’s talk about the traffic source. Because as I’ve shared throughout this article, you need traffic. You need an audience. You need people to actually find you. Go to your stuff, look at your funnel, click, click, click. Decide if they want to buy, right? Like you need actual human people interested in purchasing what you’re selling.
Why YouTube Is My Best Traffic Source
And for me, the best way to do that right here and now is with YouTube. Now, I have been a business owner since 2009. I’ve gone through the waves of Facebook and Periscope and Pinterest and blogging and Twitter and LinkedIn and all of these different things. Oh, and Clubhouse. Okay, can we not forget about Clubhouse? So I have been through all these different waves of traffic.
Comparing Social Platforms for Results
Okay, I will say the ones that have been around the longest would probably be like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The thing though is that Facebook and Instagram, for me personally, they are just not giving me results worth investing my time and more. But when I tried YouTube, Holy cow, the results that I’m getting from YouTube are insane.
Why YouTube Is a Must-Use Platform
Like, I genuinely feel like any business owner or any brand, if they’re not on YouTube right now, they are genuinely losing out on millions of dollars. Like so many sales can be made through YouTube. & yes, it can be a little formidable to have to, like, data yourself. Like, right now I am in my office talking to a camera lens all by myself.
Thinking Differently About YouTube Content
But if you think about it this way, think about it like you get to yap on the internet and get paid to yap on the internet about stuff that you love, and you get to help people and you get to educate people. And when you think about it that way, it’s way less cringey influencer and way more online educator.
How I Use YouTube to Drive Sales
So what I do to bring plenty of traffic to my business to make consistent sales all year round is I put out two articles every single week on YouTube, and in those articles I share what I hope to be a lot of helpful information. And then throughout the article, 2 to 3 times, I’ll mention some freebies so that people who want to work further with me can put in their name and email, get the freebie, get on my email list, get into my world, so to speak. Okay?
Moving Viewers to Email Subscribers
And then I’m moving my YouTube viewers to email subscribers because we know that email converts 40 times more into sales than social media alone. And then from there, they’ll get a series of automated emails with lots of helpful information and also steering them towards my membership if they want to work with us further.
More Than Just Posting on YouTube
Now, obviously there’s way more that goes into YouTube than just posting consistently. So if you’re interested in learning more about that, I have a bunch more articles on my channel about how to grow on YouTube as well as I teach it step by step with SOPs, everything in my Freedom Creator Club membership, and we also do weekly Q&A calls where we can critique your actual, you know, topics, titles, thumbnails, give you advice on your channel, all that good stuff. And that’s linked below by the way.
Why Focus on One Platform
Now you might be thinking, well, don’t I need to be on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, uh, Periscope, Clubhouse, you know, whatever other ones there are. Right. And the answer is no. The answer is I would highly, highly recommend you start with one platform.
My YouTube-Only Business Strategy
Okay. I started with one platform. I take my own advice, I try, okay. And I’m still on one platform, YouTube. In fact, we wanted more traffic, so we started a second channel run by content creators, but it’s still on YouTube. Okay, so we’re like going so deep on YouTube before we’re going to fan out and go to other platforms.
Growing and Results from Focusing on YouTube
And so we started a second channel run by content creators, but it’s still on YouTube. Okay. So we’re like going so deep on YouTube before we’re going to fan out and go to other platforms. And I’ve been solely running this business just strictly from YouTube, for about three years now.
And we’re just growing, growing and growing, growing. And I’m telling you, we’re getting such better results because we’re going all in on one platform versus trying to excel at every single platform out there.

Putting Your Sales System Together
So now let’s talk about your sales engine. Like how are you actually going to get sales? Let’s Put it all jointly.
So you are going to grow on YouTube. You’re going to make sales as you grow. You don’t have to wait till you have a certain amount of followers, okay. You’re going to start your channel, start putting out articles strategically, okay. Which I teach all the strategic strategy in Freedom Creator Club, also in articles on my channel. So check that out.
And then you’re going to make sales as you grow your channel, okay. You’re going to grow your email list as you grow your channel. And you’re going to do that with freebies.
Using Freebies to Grow Your Email List
So start growing on YouTube. Create some freebies. These can be, you know, a one-page PDF. This could be one article. This could be a custom GPT bot, right? There’s so many different things. If you want examples, I have all my freebies listed below if you want to check them out.
And then from there people are going to get on your email list.
Automating Your Emails for Sales
Now what I want you to do, because who wants to manually send out an email every single week? Think about ideas of what to send, what to send, want to send. Don’t do that. Automate your emails, okay.
Because everyone is new joining your email list, they have never read your emails before, so even an old email is new to them.
so what I want you to do is make what’s called a welcome series.
Creating a Welcome Email Series
You are going to write five emails, okay. You could send them one email a day for five days. You could send them one email every other day. You could send them one email every week. Okay. You could do it however you want to do it.
& you are going to write these emails. They are going to be an extensive story, which might sound difficult, but it is not.
Just think of one story, that you want to tell that has to do with what you are instruction.
So I could tell the story of the first time I Initiated my digital product, how that went, what I learned from it, blah blah blah blah……..!!!! Write it one story, then break it up into five emails.
Okay, so it’s so much easier if you just write it all out first.
Break it up into five emails.
Call to Actions in Your Emails
The first three emails should have call to action saying like, look for tomorrow’s email, look for tomorrow’s email, or look for tomorrow’s email, okay.
And then emails four and five step calls to action to go to your checkout page to purchase your digital product.
Boom.
That’s how you’re going to automate your sales.
You’re going to have consistent sales.
Like that alone could get you to six figures.
Software I Use for My Sales System
There’s obviously so many more bells and whistles and things we could add, but that is a good place to start.
And if you want to know what software I use and if you want to know how to automate your emails, and if you want to know how to build your email list, and if you’re needing somewhere to actually build your email list, automate your email, send your emails, post your digital products, create your own checkout page, sales page, all that good stuff.
The software I use for that is called system.io, and I have a link in the description below that will get you a free account.
It’s not a free trial, it’s a totally free account for up to 2000 email subscribers, so definitely check that out.
