All right, you guys, so jumping on in here, today’s hot lead comes from a company called Sarnova. I have shared Sarnova multiple times over the years, and just recently, back in September, they are hiring again. And if you’re not familiar with this company, they are in Emergency Medical Services.
It says that they are a National Specialty provider of healthcare products and services in the Emergency Medical Services industry, and it looks like there’s quite a few people who work here, 1,000 to 5,000 people, and seems like people enjoy working at Sarnova, so that’s good. We want to work for a good company.
Job Position and Pay Overview
Now, jumping into this lead, this is for their Verifying Representative position. It’s available US wide, and they let us know, you know, all the details except for how much it pays. So of course, I ran over to Glassdoor, and over on Glassdoor, they did not have this specific position listed, so I went with a safe bet.
I went with, you know, what are the Customer Service Reps making just to get an idea of, you know, the ballpark that this role would pay, and the Customer Service Reps are making about $19 per hour. That’s $39,000 per year, so that’s what I’m going to say for this role, but it could pay more, you know, and I doubt it’ll pay less just because that was one of the, you know, lowest paying salaries listed.
So I would definitely go into this asking for at least $19 per hour, that’s just me.
Job Role Description
So what are you going to be doing in this role? Well, it says DigiTech is seeking a Verifying Representative with knowledge of medical billing to research patient and insurance records to ensure completeness and accuracy of information prior to coding claims.
Now, this role does not list specific years of experience, so I’m going to say that this is no experience friendly, and if y’all are avid watchers of the channel, a couple weeks ago I shared a lead where they were going to teach you, you know, medical coding.
This is for the medical billers out there, and one of the things that, you know, if you’re a medical biller or a medical coder is there’s not a whole lot of no experience friendly roles when you take your talents to the house.
You’re usually looking for a year or two experience, so after that, you’ve got plenty of remote opportunities to choose from, but for the no experience roles, a lot of times you got to go into somebody’s office to do that.
So that’s why I really love this role, especially for those who have that background or that education or knowledge of medical billing because this does not require you to show up with years of experience.
Responsibilities Summary and Essential Duties
But anywho, let’s continue on. So it says responsibilities summary: The Verifying Representative is responsible for researching patient and insurance records for a client’s EMS Ambulance patient.
You’ll receive EMS patient care reports and verify that all necessary information is received and recorded prior to coding claims.
You must enjoy searching for information, working on headlines, and able to multitask.
Essential duties and responsibilities: receive all patient care reports for assigned clients and process in a timely manner, gather fine insurance information and verify information in our files, verify insurance is valid for date of service, verify name, date of birth, and address for each patient, and doing the due diligence to find the aord mentioned information if it is not present, perform other assigned duties as requested by department manager.
Skills and Experience Required
Skills experience required: ability to multitask, focus, ability to work independently, collaborative team player, able to work with clients, external parties and internal department, pleasant and professional demeanor, able to handle pressure and always maintain composure, computer literacy, able to work to monitors, strong follow-through, strong attention to detail, good grammar, ability to work on deadlines, punctual, dependable, quick learner, good note taker during training, accountable for your work, comfortable asking questions.

So that is the lead, you guys, and like I said, you know, this is great for those who have some medical billing knowledge, that’s what they’re looking for.
They want someone who’s showing up with medical billing knowledge.
Now, how did you acquire that knowledge? Maybe you were working in healthcare already but not necessarily a medical biller.
Maybe you just went through a medical billing program, or, you know, there’s some sort of combination of the two going on here.
