I have distant jobs, part time jobs, and jobs that teach you. But did you know that Uber in fact has secret jobs that do not require driving or bringing food, and they pay you six amount? High-Paying Role at Plaid for Technical Support Engineers
Now, this is a high, high-paying role for Plaid. The company Plaid is hiring for a technical support engineer for all of my techies out there that hate working on the phones. Now, with this role, you are going to reply to just 10 to 12 tickets per day via Zendesk. Okay, suppose only having to do 10 tickets a day. How taxing work is surrounding it when you have to do 50 or when you have to be on cellphone all day? Like, this is just really, really amazing.

Now, I do want to point out this is a high-paying role. This goes from 73K as listed up to 110K for this pay range. Okay, this doesn’t even include if you’ve got experience where you can enter into a professional level as perhaps a senior. Uh, this is their standard sort of entry-level pay range for this particular role. Right? So, depending on what zone you live in, zones one through four, that number can vary. But I would encourage you right now to submit for this role because the last time we showed this role, it went very, very quickly.

And so, Globe Life is actually hiring for a part-time customer retention representative. And this is for an evening shift. Now, for other roles that also pay really, really well, Instacart is looking for an order management specialist. Now, I’m just going to do a spoiler alert and let you know that this role pays $60 per hour. Okay, and again, there are no phones involved. Okay, this is, um, a lot of data entry and QA kind of mixed together. Okay, well QC, quality control mixed together.
Job Duties and Pay Details for Instacart Position
So, if you’ve ever done order management or order support, um, this is going to fall under that umbrella, you probably will have some interactions with the sales departments or the deal desk departments. Um, but again, this is going to involve heavy data entry. And then there’s also going to be a little bit of billing and revenue entry where you may have to enter things like SKUs or SKUs, as some people call them.
Additional Responsibilities in the Instacart Role
You may have to enter billing information. You may have to mark orders as complete or fulfilled. Um, things of that nature. So, as I’ve said before, this particular role is going to pay $60 per hour. So, they are going to triage different requests, um, in the form of customer support requests. Okay. So, this may be people asking about their payroll or perhaps they’re going on leave and they need some sort of guidance around what paperwork to submit, things of that nature. So, while this is, this is I would say a little bit of a mix between a customer support role and also a data entry role.
Importance of Talking to a Recruiter and Degree Clarification
Um, from what I can tell here, again, you always want to make sure you talk to a recruiter to fully understand what the role entails. Now, somebody’s going to call this out, the whole degree thing. I want to be very clear with what they’re saying here. They’re saying they’d like for you to have experience in HR or customer support, or have a degree or have equivalent experience. You do not need to have all of those components.
Encouragement to Apply Despite Qualifications
So, please stop looking at these roles and go, I don’t have everything because most of these roles are going to train you. Okay? These qualifications are considered nice to have. And I am doing air reference right now. So, please make sure you are applying for these functions even if you feel like you do not have every single thing that they’re asking for.

They’re looking for ambition. They’re looking for new thoughts and ideas. They’re looking for team players. Okay? I’m just saying this is what these companies are ultimately looking for. So, please do not write yourself out of the race because you felt like you didn’t hit every single checkbox. Okay?
Salary Range and Role Levels at GitHub
Now, this range is quite a wide salary range from almost 70K to about 180K. I would imagine that’s very contingent on if they bring you in as entry-level versus junior versus senior or even like a lead role. Okay. So, this wide salary range tells me that they’re probably hiring for multiple different professional roles from junior up to maybe a lead.

Hidden Uber Freight Roles Explained
Now, for the Uber roles, those hidden roles from companies that you don’t typically see on their homepage or that they don’t typically advertise, Uber has something called Uber Freight. Okay, for those of you that have ever worked as a freight broker or maybe you drove trucks or maybe you worked as a dispatcher for like UPS or some other trucking companies.
Suitability and Schedule for Uber Freight Role
So, depending on what your background is, this is a really great opportunity for those of you that want to continue on in those sort of freight-driven roles or those logistics roles, right? I do want to point out that this role is remote and it says it has the remote/work from home flexibility because this is an after-hours role.
Important Hours and Role Details for Uber Freight
So, I just want to be lucid. This is a five in the evening to two in the morning position. Okay? So, please make sure you comprehend that this is not traveling to be your usual 9 to 5. This is from 5:00 p.m. to two in the morning Um, but if you’re someone that is interested in working on the pricing and coverage team, um, again, in the sort of Uber Freight department, then this is a really good role for you to kind of target, um, submit your application to.

Um, again, this does not require a college degree. Um, they’re just looking for people that have experience working in freight, right? That sort of experience.

Um, another position that they have that I thought was really cool, although this is not a remote position, Uber is hiring for design managers for the autonomous vehicle infrastructure or autonomous vehicle infrastructure.

So, if you’ve ever worked in any type of program management, engineering, um, designing, or if you have experience with just EVs in general, those electric vehicles, and you’re someone that likes to understand and engineer those sorts of things, this is a really great role for you to ultimately apply for.
Locations and Salary for Design Manager Role
So, I just want to point out, um, they’re looking for people across Georgia, Texas, Florida, uh, even New York, California, and like the DMV area. Okay? They are paying anywhere between 134K to 185,000 is the range based on what state you ultimately live in.
Additional Compensation at Uber
So, there is a lot of opportunity, um, across a lot of different states for this particular role. Um, again with Uber, you don’t just get the base salary. They do also give you equity in the company as another form of compensation.
